Improve your digital skills to adapt to life in Canada faster!

Session 1, August 8

  • How to connect to the internet
  • Learn to use free English translation applications (Google Translation, Duolingo)
  • Getting around the city: Transportation guides (Google Maps, Transit)
  • Essential weather apps

Session 2, August 15

  • Your city guide: Events, communication, and culture apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite, etc.)
  • Navigating official resources: Key government websites and phone numbers (libraries, volunteer.ca, Canada.ca; emergency services, non-emergency services information, health advice, etc.)
  • Mastering Adobe Acrobat

Session 3, August 22

  • Microsoft Office: Key skills for success and using authenticator apps
  • Banking from your phone: Online banking apps, including how to send money to other countries
  • Job searching platforms (Kibbi App, Indeed, Job Bank)
  • MNLCT Community of Care app: Your gateway to community and healthy mental well-being
