#AskMNLCT: Thriving in a Transitional Media Landscape

We all have seen how the media has drastically evolved over recent years with the advent of the digital age. Newspapers have become leaner, publications folded, advertising budgets squeezed, and the TV and radio world are cluttered.

Despite the challenges, there is an upside to all this with a wave of digital media, creative space and unique opportunities. Even the federal government has pledged to invigorate the media sector by allocating funds to support the industry’s survival in the new economy.

In this webinar from February 25, 2021, our panelists discussed the opportunities and challenges within the media sector which we highlight in our Bridge to Employment in Media and Communications Program (BEMC). They include tips on how to transition into the changing media landscape in Ontario, and the benefits that international media professionals bring with them
