C-Women graduate, Nada Khan shares about finding the right path in her career journey.
Nada is an internationally trained Quality Assurance and Automation Testing professional with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing, certified in Java, Python, and ISTQB.
Nada came to Canada in 2023, enthusiastic yet uncertain about navigating a new job market. Since then, she committed to continuous learning and personal growth, building on previous experience and adapting her skills to thrive in Canada.
She trained in the C-Women program at MNLCT and recently graduated. Nada shares her newcomer experience and how the C-Women program has shaped her career journey.
My journey as a newcomer to Canada was filled with uncertainty, especially when it came to re-entering the workforce. The C-Women program at MNLCT provided me with the confidence, skills, and industry insights I needed to navigate the job market.
Through MNLCT’s partnership with JVS Toronto, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in their co-op program for newcomer women, which led to an internship at a firm. This hands-on experience was invaluable, and eventually, my internship turned into a full-time job.
What truly set this experience apart was how seamlessly both MNLCT and JVS guided me through the process. From resume building to interview preparation and workplace communication training, they made my transition into the Canadian job market smooth and structured. Their personalized support and practical learning approach helped me gain confidence, develop key skills, and most importantly, get my foot in the door in my field.
I am deeply grateful for the support, mentorship, and career guidance I received through MNLCT and JVS.
