Community Health Services is currently closed. It will reopen on January 16, 2024. Thank you to the Humber nursing team.

You can find other Community Health Centres here if necessary.

FREE! No OHIP card needed!

Our services include:

  • Health check-ups
  • Referral to other health care providers and specialists, if required
  • Nurse Practitioner – onsite specific days (call for availability)
  • Health education sessions

  • Health teaching on living with a chronic condition, such as diabetes or high blood pressure
  • Pregnancy tests and mother baby health teaching
  • Wound assessment and wound care
  • Non-urgent health concerns
  • Nutrition education and assistance accessing healthy food
  • And more!

We are located close to the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Alness Street.

  • From Finch West Station: Take the #36 Finch West bus and get off at the stop after Chesswood Dr., we are right behind the #1120 building

    If driving: Please enter at the West entrance, the 1st driveway (before the A&W)

  • From Finch East Station: Take the #36 Finch West Bus, get off at the stop after Alness St. We are right behind the #1120 building

    If driving: Please enter at the West entrance, the 2nd driveway (after the A&W)

Canadian Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Health Care (CCRI)

Free health clinic led by nurse practitioners and doctors, serving refugees and persons without status. Call in advance to book an appointment.

Non-Insured Walk-In Clinic (NIWIC)

The Non-Insured Walk-In Clinic (NIWIC) operates on a walk-in basis on Mondays and Thursdays for registration (line up early to get a spot in line). Following registration, you may meet with the doctor in the same day if you are eligible, or you will receive an appointment for your health care needs on a subsequent Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday.

Walk-in clinic for new clients, no appointment required:

    • Mondays & Thursdays: 9:30 AM to 7 PM
      * Midwife services available Thursdays: 12 PM to 7:30 PM

       

You can use the NIWIC if you:

  • Are a resident of Toronto, and 
  • Do not have a family doctor, and
  • Do not have current coverage under the Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP), Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), or Ontario Temporary Health Program (OTHP) or private health insurance

You cannot use the NIWIC if you are:

  • On vacation
  • A tourist
  • An official visa holder
