Keele Office Open House Saturday, September 24, 2022, 11 AM – 4 PM 2737 Keele…
Once again this year, the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto is partnering with the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund to make the holiday season a bit brighter for eligible newcomer children.
The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund is a registered charity that provides underprivileged children under the age of 12 with a gift to open during the winter holiday season. The children receive a decorated gift box containing gender neutral, age appropriate items such as toys, clothing (shirt, hat, mittens, socks), food, and dental hygiene products.
We invite all our clients and friends who meet the eligibility criteria listed below to contact us at our Victoria Park Avenue or Keele Street offices to register.
Who is eligible:
• Parents must be low income earners (e.g, working for minimum wage, working part-time, etc.)
• Families (including children) must reside within Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Ajax or Pickering. Note that residents of Markham, Bolton, Milton, Burlington, Richmond Hill and Vaughan are not eligible.
• Children are aged 0 to 12 years old. Children older than 12 years of age will not receive a gift. Parents must provide their names, address, telephone number, apartment buzzer code (if applicable) and evidence of income.
Families receiving social assistance do not need to sign up for the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund because their children are already listed to receive gifts via Toronto Employment and Social Services. For more information contact the TESS Christmas Bureau (416-392-3601) or your Caseworker.
How to register:
Please go to either the Keele or Victoria Park MNLCT office, Monday to Friday between 8:30AM and 4:00PM by the deadline that applies to each office or contact us by phone for more information.
