Alexandra’s Family

“Mennonite New Life Centre, good morning, buenos dias” was the first contact that my family and I had with the Centre. That was the moment, when we finally found someone who could provide information and support to us, after a few months of arriving in Canada.

Once we went to the office and had an appointment with a Settlement Counsellor, we discovered all the services that the Mennonite New Life Centre provides. We were able to apply for housing, my kids had the opportunity to participate in activities for youth; we had access to Mental Services that helped us to understand all the immigration process and to deal with all the emotional consequences that it has. We also, received support in immigration processes, such as Sponsorship, Citizenship applications and Study Permits.

When we heard about the Centre for the first time, we never imagined that we will receive that many and diverse services. It is amazing that we, as immigrants, have access to this kind of services without paying a cent. We are really thankful with the Centre and all the staff because we have received excellent services and important guidance. We even have been supporting the Centre as volunteers plus, we are also in the TTC buses! Today, 5 years after our arrival I can say that the Mennonite New Life Centre has impacted our live incredibly and I really hope all the immigrants get to know this Centre so they can count on someone.
