Job Skills

Employment Readiness One-on-One Counselling

Individual sessions where clients are able to develop their own Career and Employment Plan, which is tailored to help them achieve short and long-term goals.

Employment Readiness Workshops

Employment support for newcomers who are looking for a job and trying to understand what is needed to succeed in finding employment opportunities in Canada. Offered in English, Arabic, and Spanish.

Entrepreneurial Excellence and Leadership (EXL)

The Entrepreneurial Excellence and Leadership (EXL) program provides the learning, resources, coaching, peer support and guidance to be self-employed and to start your own business, connecting you with community partners.

Essential Skills Training (Online/LMS)

Self-paced courses to develop essential skills, personal growth and career planning, employment preparation, and citizenship test preparation.

Kibbi App

Kibbi is a mobile app and online job board that provides job seekers with the best opportunities in their local area. Find jobs & resources near you on a map. Receive job alerts & direct invitations from local businesses. View job descriptions and chat with employers in 60 languages. Write your resume and cover letter in seconds.
The Workplace Communication in Canada (WCC) program helps upgrade career skills and improve interpersonal communication in the Canadian workplace.

Language Skills

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) courses provide free English training for newcomers to Canada, along with free CNC (Childminding) services and free TTC tokens for eligible participants.

Emotional Support

Individual Mental Health Counselling

Emotional support for newcomers struggling with stress or trauma, to promote resilience, strength and wellbeing at an individual and community level. Services provided in English, Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

We know it has been frustrating and difficult to reach us during this time, and we sincerely apologize for that. Please know that all our programs and services are running and staff are ready to support you. For getting in touch with us, please continue to use our temporary Gmail addresses:

Or drop in to our Keele location (2737 Keele St, units 9, 111, 112, North York) or Finch location (1122 Finch Ave West, Unit 1, North York) during office hours:

  • Settlement staff are available at our Keele office in Units 111 (Resource Centre) & 112 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday to Friday to answer questions and provide guidance. We do not have wi-fi at this time.
  • LINC in-person classes are running as usual at Keele office and online.
  • HAP is closed for the summer.
  • Community Health Services is able to support at our Finch office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

How we work on Canada Day Week

All our offices will be closed from Monday, June 29th, to Friday, July 3rd inclusive.

LINC, Mental Health, and Bridging programs are available virtually on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30.

Community Health Services is available virtually on Tuesday, June 30.

We will reopen on Monday, July 6th.
