The Mennonite New Life Centre offers a wide range of programs and services to help newcomers settle, integrate, and contribute their skills and voices to Ontario. Our holistic approach brings together practical assistance, emotional support and civic engagement, supporting individuals and communities to realize their full potential.

Conveniently located in North York, Scarborough and South Toronto, we work with local partners in each of our three neighbourhoods to better serve and include new Canadians.

Settlement & Employment

Starting a life in a new country is not easy. From housing to education and employment, settlement workers give individualized support to meet the short, medium and long term goals of newcomers in Canada.

Language Instruction

Success in Canada starts by learning English. Our formal and informal programs teach English from basic to advanced level. Students gain the communication skills needed for citizenship, the workplace or further study.

Community Mental Health

A dedicated team of counsellors offer emotional support to newcomers struggling with different kinds of stress or trauma. Our counsellors work with individuals, families and groups to promote resilience, strength and well-being.

Bridge Training Programs

The Bridge to Registration in Employment and Mental Health program is unique bridge training program that prepares international mental health professionals for registration and meaningful employment in the field through academic training and hands-on, supervised placement.

The Bridge to Employment in Media & Communications program a unique 7-month full-time program designed to prepare internationally trained media and communications professionals to secure meaningful employment or entrepreneurship in Ontario.

Community Engagement

This program works with immigrant communities to enhance their civic participation in political and social systems. Communities learn the tools to engage in action that promotes inclusivity through social change.

Counter Human Trafficking Program

The Counter Human Trafficking Program offers comprehensive case management and mental health counselling to individuals who experienced human trafficking.

Let’s PLAY Ultimate

A co-ed program and coaching to help participants learn the sport of Ultimate. People of all experience levels and abilities are encouraged to join. This is a project in building and strengthening community through sports.
